Yielding

I continue to wait. But, sometimes I feel like a horse being brought into the corral to be broken for the first time. I trot around and snort a little nervously, willing, I think, to yield. Then comes the bridle and bit. I start dancing around, running around the corral for short bursts, then standing still, snorting and shaking my head. I can do this, I think. Next comes the harness and saddle with a rider on my back. Oh NO. I begin bucking, jerking my head up and down, running around the corral, trying to get this authority off my back, snorting, stomping my front legs, rearing to throw off this rider. The reins tighten while I struggle to get comfortable in my yielding.

Have Thy way, Lord.
